Holy crap 3 years!

Ok damm I forgot to make a post about my third anniversary on this site but better late than never.

Whenever this time of year comes up I like to look back at all of my old art I posted here. And fucking Christ guys… you all really just let me post that trash lol. Ok but seriously it’s nice to look back at my old shit, and compare it to what I make now. My current art is definitely not perfect but I like to think it’s leagues better than when I first joined NG.

That being said 2025 for the most part has been pretty good in terms of art. Passed all of my spring classes with pretty high marks and my illustration professor really likes my art so that’s definitely nice to hear. I already talked about getting published in January on my last news post, so I won’t elaborate on that. That being said I participated

in two group exhibitions in my area. First one was around March, a gallery in my area was looking for interesting pieces for their exhibition about the moon. I was a bit scared to apply for it since I am kinda insecure about my art especially showing it to people in public, but regardless I made my weird moon lady and submitted it to the gallery. The piece got accepted and damm my art actually got seen by a lot of people. Definitely not my best work since I will admit it’s pretty rushed, but I’m just happy that I was able to have my first gallery experience.

The second exhibition was actually pretty recently, ended somewhere around last week I think. This one didn’t have a theme just some cool pieces. At the time of submissions, which was around May or June, I got burnt out from rushing 3 black and white illustrations for my illustration class finial, so I submitted one of those pieces because I was tried. Luckily, the organizer of the gallery really liked what I submitted so I got accepted pretty quickly.

The gallery event was really fun. I had a chance to actually chat with the other artists which was nice. However nobody told me we had to talk and discuss our intentions behind our art, so my dumbass fumbled it, and I basically said how much I love Haunting of Hill House and Mike Mignola lol. Definitely not my best moment but at least I was honest with my inspirations haha.

Also I actually got two of my art pieces and a song featured in Takeover Tuesday!!! Which oh my fucking god!! Thank you so much guys!!! My jaw dropped everytime I got that notification haha! (Here’s the art and song I mentioned)

And as of recent I got commissioned by a indie horror dev to make cover art for their psychological horror game. Game is still in development so i unfortunately can’t say when it’ll come out, but hey a win is a win!! Even if it’s just for a small indie game it’s nice to get paid doing stuff like this. Hopefully I can get more work like this in the near future.

So then what are my plans for the future?

Well if everything goes well I’ll be part of another group exhibition for a local gallery during September , currently doing some rough sketches of my ideas for the theme, but let’s just say it’s a nice callback to my Hispanic culture. So yeah look out for that! My goal is to reach 300 followers on here. I just passed that threshold on Bluesky a few days ago so I’m confident I’ll get there before my 4th year anniversary. Besides I need more troops for the Saxophone army. As for personal projects I’m currently taking part of a game jam and god willing it’ll actually work and I’ll have a game for you guys to check out. But if everything goes to shit, which I think is starting to happen, then I have a backup plan to make a zine about all of the concept art, story ideas, and inspirations I have for this game. I’m simply too attached to my weird toxic yuri body horror shit lol.

With all that being said thank you Newgrounds for being one of the most supportive sites to me. It’s been a joy making my stuff here, and I look forward to the years ahead.
